Assistant Principal
What a joy it is to be joining the incredible Canyon Vista community this year! While I’ll only be on campus once a week, I want you to know how truly excited and honored I am to support your students and be a part of such a special school.
I’m a proud product of Capistrano Unified School District. I was born in Alaska and raised in Laguna Niguel. I attended all CUSD schools growing up, which makes this opportunity feel like a full-circle moment. After college, I headed across the country to Boston, where I taught fifth grade for ten amazing years. Living and teaching in a place so rich in our country’s history was a dream come true, and it fed my love for learning and adventure. I have also spent several years in CUSD as a school counselor and special education advocate.
These days, I live locally with my amazing daughter, our 90-pound rescue dog, and our fierce cat, who definitely runs the show. When I’m not at school, I love watching sports, listening to music, and enjoying musical theater. You might also see me on almost any sidelines cheering on friends and family both on and off of the sports field.
I believe in creating strong connections with students and families, and I’m committed to helping all learners thrive. I feel incredibly blessed to be working alongside such a dedicated team and can’t wait to get to know your children.
Here’s to a joyful and successful year ahead…go Crocodiles!
With excitement and gratitude,
