CANYON VISTA ELEMENTARY

 

Dear Canyon Vista Families,

 

It is my great joy and privilege to welcome all of our families to the 2026-2027 school year at Canyon Vista Elementary School, Home of the Crocodiles! Whether you are returning to Canyon Vista or joining us for the first time, we are so happy you are here and that you are part of our incredible school community.

 

Canyon Vista is a school with so much to celebrate. Our students continue to achieve at high levels, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work and accomplishments. This success is also a reflection of the dedication of our outstanding teachers and staff, who work tirelessly to know our students, support their growth, and create meaningful learning experiences each day.

 

As we look ahead, we are excited to continue strengthening our Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). At the heart of this work is a commitment to looking at each student as an individual. By thoughtfully examining student strengths, progress, and needs, we can provide the right academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports at the right time. Our goal is to meet students where they are, help them continue along a positive trajectory, and ensure that every child has opportunities to grow and thrive.

 

That commitment to knowing and supporting each child is strengthened by the wonderful sense of community at Canyon Vista. Each Friday morning, our students and staff gather for our weekly community assembly. Together, we share announcements, celebrate accomplishments, recognize the wonderful things happening across our campus, and simply enjoy being together. It is one of the many ways we build connection, belonging, and Crocodile pride.

 

As your principal, I am honored to serve this remarkable community. I believe elementary school should be a place where children are excited to come each morning, feel known and valued, and are challenged and supported to grow. It is also a place where they develop the confidence, character, curiosity, and kindness that will serve them well beyond their elementary years.

 

Our success is strengthened by the partnership among our students, staff, families, and community. My door is always open, and I look forward to opportunities to visit with you in the office, around campus, and at our many school events throughout the year. Together, we will continue building upon the strong foundation that makes Canyon Vista such a special place for children.

 

Whether you have been a Crocodile family for many years or are just beginning your journey with us, you belong here. I am excited for all that we will learn, celebrate, and accomplish together during the 2026-2027 school year.
