Principal's Message
Dear Canyon Vista Families,
As we embark on the 2024-2025 school year, I am excited to welcome both new and returning families to our school community. This will be my fourth school year at CVES and we are more committed than ever to creating a safe, supportive, and academically enriching environment for every student.
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We have implemented several enhanced safety measures to ensure a secure learning environment, including updated emergency procedures, regular safety drills, and continuous collaboration with local authorities. Our staff is dedicated to maintaining a campus where every student feels safe and supported. We are also committed to supporting the social-emotional health of our students. Our dedicated staff, including counselors and support personnel, are here to provide guidance and resources to help students navigate their emotions and build resilience. We encourage families to be partners in this effort by discussing safety with your children and reminding them of the importance of following school rules and procedures.
Our focus on academic achievement remains relentless. This year, we are introducing new math curriculum enhancements and teaching strategies to challenge and engage our students. Last year, we had the overall top scores in CAPO in DIBELS(ELA) and iReady(math). Our dedicated and expert teachers are committed to providing high-quality instruction that meets the needs of all our little Crocs.
We believe that the partnership between home and school is crucial to student success. We encourage you to stay actively involved in your child's education attending school events, parent-teacher conferences, and engaging in open communication with our staff. Your support is invaluable as we work together to provide the best possible educational experience for your child.
